The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Netbook - Best in Value, Performance and Design
Asus has always been the top pick when it comes to mini laptops or netbooks, and if you ever had the chance of using one, it would be easy to see why. The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook is currently the latest model in the market and it has topped the charts since its release.
When I said that it offers the best value, I didn’t mean that it is the cheapest in the market. In fact this model is about $30-$60 more expensive that other competing netbooks. Nevertheless, the great features and outstanding performance of the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook makes it worth every penny.
To name just a few features not found on your average netbook, this model comes with stereo speakers, 3 USB ports, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also comes with an extraordinarily long battery life, where the battery can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. They keyboard is also very easy to use with its full-sized shift key.
The ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook sports the new seashell design (also found in the 1008HA), finally breaking free from the sturdy design of the previous generation of Asus netbooks. The new design is very sleek and stylish. For me, one of the biggest competitors of this model is the new Toshiba mini. Even so, the Toshiba mini lags behind in terms of design (the battery protrudes behind the unit) and battery life. Furthermore, Asus has a much longer track record when it comes to netbooks.
If you are currently considering buying a netbook, chances are, you will be deciding between an Asus netbook, the Toshiba Mini, Samsung NC10, HP mini and the Acer Aspire One series. If you strongly prefer the design and color of some of these netbooks, you may have a valid reason to choose a competing model. Otherwise, there is very little reason for you to not get yourself a ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook.
